Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

grading gone haywirer

Hypno   November 26th, 2012 4:32a.m.

The grading is doing something crazy, seems to grade me on every stroke cycling through all the different grades and then finally when i finish the character the grade is just completely random.
Anyone else have this problem?

Hmm, that's strange. Is it happening both on http://www.skritter.com/study/all and http://beta.skritter.com/study/all ?

The same thing is happening for me on both skritter.com and beta.skritter.com.

I've been trying to reproduce this, but haven't had any luck. Can y'all tell me:

0) What browser, OS, and Flash Player version do you have? http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/find-version-flash-player.html
1) Does it do it both on Firefox and Chrome?
2) Does it do it if you completely clear your browser cache, then reload the study page?
3) Does it do it on all types of prompts?
4) Do you mean the character-level grade (which should correspond to the grading button in the Flash area, along with the colored border of the Flash area) or the word-level grade (which is to the side of it, in the prompt, after you've finished a word)?

Thanks--hope to track this one down for you guys.

Hi Nick,

A day later I'm unable to reproduce the problem :).
