[Non-Skritter] How to pay at Taobao (Chinese Ebay) ?

Phoboss   July 31st, 2011 4:28p.m.

Hi,

I want to order a product on Taobao but don't really know how to pay. Since Alipay is the main payment method is it possible to transfer money from Paypal to Alipay?

I don't want to use an agency, though.

I don't know about transferring money, but I know many methods will allow you to pay with a credit card. Though there is a small fee tacked on even before any conversion fees are applied. The fee always deterred me though and I never actually made a purchase until I had a Chinese bank card so I can't comment on whether it works or not.

Some sellers will also allow you to pay cash on delivery, but again there will be an extra fee of maybe 1 to 3% for this. Look for the little icon that says 货到付款。
