Colors for the tones

Tekaru   February 28th, 2014 11:30a.m.

Hi,

Does Skritter have an option to set up colors for tones?

I found this in FAQ:

When can I pick my own set of colors for the tones?
It's still on the list to do someday, but this feature's code has turned out to be more complicated than we had guessed when we originally did the tone colors (based on Nathan Dummitt's standard: first tone is red, second is yellow, third green, and fourth blue). So while we want to offer some other choices for those who don't like this color standard, we probably won't get to it for a while.

Where can I find the option to turn on the standard colors for the tones?

If you study on your computer you can change it in the settings tab found in the upper right hand corner during a study session. I'm not sure if you can change it in the iOS app though.

I see, I found the option. Thx.

However only the pinyin is colored and on the computer.

Are there any plans to make it just like in Pleco, where a whole character has its color?
And also to integrate the option with the apps?

We aren't going to do much more with tone colors, because it's been much more of a headache than originally thought, and everyone wants different colors, and they interfere with the grading colors something fierce.
