Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

How do you go about doing that? Right now I am writing in English what I want to say in Chinese with Google Translate and then copying and pasting the result into Skritter.

BTW: Thanks to Skritter, I can read my subject sentence. I actually am learning something.

I am using this: http://www.pinyinjoe.com/vista/vista_pinyin_setup_p2_fanti.htm

That's where Skritter tone practice is invaluable. In fact after some practice it is possible to write pretty fast

just get http://pinyin.sogou.com/ or http://www.google.com/ime/pinyin/, most people use sougou
