when to hook

Hi,

Sometimes the second stroke for characters like 口 and 日 hook, and sometimes not. Any rules for this?

thanks

Can you give some examples?

I've found an article at http://blog.sina.com.cn/s/blog_4abeb69d0102e0oo.html .
The first half of it lists some differences between the printed font and the handwritten font.
The second half answers the question.

According to this article, the 日 in 明 should not hook, but the one in Skritter does.
