Feature Suggestion: Listening-Button in Details

Thorondor   December 10th, 2011 3:50a.m.

Hi, sometimes (actually pretty often) I like to look up a word in the My Words. Or I take a deep look into characters during skrittering. In both cases I use the (by the way awesome) word-detail-window. Unfortunately there is no Listening-Button. I am talking about the one, that makes my pc speak the word when pressed on, which is available for the current word being reviewed. Why is that? Could you put the button into the details, please?

It's on the feature list. I need to do two small pieces of work relating to the audio first. I'm working on audio for the iOS app now, so it may be something I do soon, but I'm not sure.

Cross-browser audio using HTML is still terrible for this sort of thing, so it means using Flash in certain browsers just to play the sound. Fun!

Yeah - I feel with you - seriously. To struggle with this kind of stuff is no fun at all.
