The app is broken for me as well. Can't add new lists on iOS. Is this being worked on?

mcfarljw   August 31st, 2014 10:13p.m.

@all, The issue has come to our attention. We're looking to reproduce and fix it as quickly as possible.

@tausha, Strange that it works on one and not the other. Can you think of anything different between the two devices (such as ios version, app version, last time the app was used)?

tausha   September 1st, 2014 1:49a.m.

Iphone 4S and Ipad 2 (without 3G), both: ios 7.0.4 jailbroken, Skritter 2.5.0 2014-6-6

I usually only use the iphone. The "could not connect" message would occasionally appear but after a few reloads it would always work.
I recently tried to reset Skritter and do a full sync but during the first syncing process it would always crash (Jeremy knows all about it and has a crash log). Reinstalling Skritter or rebooting the device didn't work and repeated attempts to resync eventually produced an error message that said my account data was corrupt or something like that.
So I had to reset and restore my whole device and reinstall Skritter before resyncing worked again - however, the list section is practically useless now because it always shows the connect error thing, no matter how often I click reload.
I only used the ipad because of the iphone sync issue and well... it worked and still works fine. Hadn't used in months; syncing worked and the list section has no connectivity issues whatsoever.
Both use the same wifi.
If you need any more info, just ask.

Thanks u all guys . I really enjoy this app. Hope the admins will fix it very soon .

I am new to Skritter for Chinese & feel a bit cheated- I just paid for the subscription but I can't download any lists or anything, so I can't use it.

I am getting the same 'could not connect to server' message, even though I am clearly connected to the server for all other apps/internet on the Ipad and have full bars.

This is way too expensive a subscription for it not to work!! Can I get an extension on the start date??

Hey everyone,

Turns out Google App Engine made some changes recently without announcing them, which was causing the errors you've been reporting. We've made some updates that should take care of the problem and eliminate those pesky server connection messages you've been seeing! Please take a look on your devices and let us know how things are going. Hopefully the issue will be fixed and you can add and study from lists again!

Thanks for your patience and sorry about any inconvenience this might have caused.

It's working for me again! I had to reload only once which is the way it usually was. Nice!
