items due for review counter

shinyspoons   December 12th, 2009 12:14a.m.

I don't know if it is just a problem with my computer, but the counter is not registering when i have studied a character. So if i spend half an hour practicing, my items to review will only decrease by 4 or 5.

I have noticed this too. It tends to not decrement as you go, but eventually will jump down by a lot.

Sounds like a bug. When did this start happening?

When you study an item and the review bar doesn't decrease, what % readiness is the item at? (If it's less than 100%, it shouldn't go down, but it shouldn't load things that are less than 100% ready if you have more than a few things due.)

roughly about three days, at the mo it is counting when i do a tone, but words, even if they are over 100% are not being counted as studied

Hmm, I can't reproduce. Here's some more questions:
1) Is your account's timezone set correctly?
2) Is your computer's timezone set correctly?
3) They weren't all newly added words, were they?
4) Does it still do this when you review a writing by itself, without combining a tone with it?
5) Does it do the jumping thing that muir describes?

shinyspoons   December 12th, 2009 12:54p.m.

1. yes
2. yes
3. over the time its been happening i added no new words
4. yes
5. every now and again, but not by much

shinyspoons   December 13th, 2009 12:39a.m.

I sent you some emails with more information, if you dont get them let me know and i will send them again.

I think it's timezone related (a bug in our code). I'll try to figure out exactly what's going on tomorrow.
