Radicals update?

Hobbes828   May 29th, 2009 5:56a.m.

Don't let me disturb your important presentation and break time, but whenever you get a chance, I was just curious about the discussion a while ago about an updated radical list.

Is that still in the works? ETA?

Not trying to sound demanding, just wondering because I was thinking of starting it soon and I'll hold off if the list will change anytime soonish.

What's wrong with the current radical list? It was broken for a long time, but as of a few weeks ago it was working well for me.

We still don't have a great solution for it, so we probably won't do anything to it very soon--lots of other stuff to do right now.

I second Xerxes314's question...

What's wrong with the radical list? I'm using it now, no problems.

Welcome to me! I am waiting for you.

The current list gives pinyin for all radicals instead of the names that Chinese people use for them, and some of these pinyin aren't used. It also doesn't handle variants very well.
