Pre-Cache characters so that automatic adding works when offline

I currently manually add words so that I can work with Skritter offline, but I'd was hoping to one day try the automatic adding feature.

Would it be possible to cache the next X amount of characters to be added onto the iOS app (Where X is the maximum number of characters that Skritter expects to add in the next 24 hours), so that one could use automatic adding while off-line?

Double tap the add button and add as many words as you'd like to study while you're offline. They'll be spread out among your reviews.

Hi Scott,

I changed Add Frequency to "Normal". Then I manually added 45 words. However they all got added to my current review session. I thought that I would see less added to the current session since my retention target is 95% and my current retention rate is about 80% (I've only been doing manual adds up to this point); or maybe I just misunderstand the system.

Thanks,
lechuan

Adding words through the app via the button makes them come up in study all at once (albeit with a little spacing). This manual adding bypasses automatic adding. Automatic adding adds new characters based on how many reviews you have left, and the frequency you choose. However, you need to be online for it.

While the app auto caching a number of words would be good, the alternative isn't so bad. You need to get in the habit of adding 10 or so words before you leave the house.

Thanks Scott and Byzanti. I get it now. I was confused between reviews in the same session and separate review sessions.
