I'm thinking of studying readings, but...

I have a couple of questions. Firstly, in the web app, it seems that the ban button auto-bans all instances of that word, not just the one you're currently studying. I've been banning homonyms with similar meaning because it's a pain for me to figure which one is which. However, I would like to study the readings of these words. Therefore, when I ban them on the mobile app, it would be nice to only ban the writing, or at least be able to choose, like you can on the web app. Is there a way to do this one the mobile app that I'm just missing entirely?

Secondly, when it tells you that you can reset the your lists, will this actually reset the words? Or when you add them, will it remember the previous reviews that you've done with them?

When you said 'web app', I assume you meant the iOS app?

On the iOS app, we had to cut down on some of the more specific things such as choosing exactly which parts to ban when you ban a word. There's so little space, and we wanted to simplify where we could, so that wasn't added. I wonder though, if we could do something similar like we have for the add button, where holding down or double tapping the word would bring up a menu to choose. Will see about that!

When you say 'when it tells you that you can reset your lists', you mean the popup that shows up when you add readings to the parts you're studying? For that, it just sets the lists to start adding from the beginning, it doesn't modify the words you are currently studying. The question is, when adding words, do you want the lists to go back to the beginning and add the readings for the words you've already gone through, or just keep going forward where you are now and not necessarily ever add those readings?

I did mean the iOS app. XD I apologize. It was a little late when I wrote this.

Having a double-click for parts banning would be pretty baller (I would definitely appreciate it).

I did mean that. Also: last night, I started remixing my lists (that's definitely a cool feature), so that I could just remove all words without kanji from my studies just by removing them from my lists. So, yeah. Thanks for that.

Good to hear! That's what the list system was designed for.

Okay it's on the list of features to add.
