Is there a way to prioritize a certain wordlist?

DaXia   May 15th, 2014 2:17p.m.

I searched but the only thread I found about this was from 2011.

What I mean is that you have one or more lists of words thats always prioritized ahead of the words of other lists.

For example, I would like my
misc-list where I quick add words to be prioritized, so that I always get to study the words of that list first. As long as there are words in this list that aren't considered as "learnt", you wont get to study words of other lists.

This could be a great feature in several ways, especially when you quick-add words, since those words are likely to be words you want to master asap.

And if this dont work, perhaps there is a way to prioritize certain words? Does the "stared word" function do this somehow?

It sounds like you're wanting to study a single list, where you could add those words of priority to. As long as your studying a single list it will only review and add words from that particular list, thus prioritizing them. You can do this either from the web at skritter.com/study, clicking "Study a single vocab list", or on the iOS app via the advanced study menu, limiting it down to the desired list.

@Jeremy

Hi!

No, I mean that when studying all lists, one certain list among all lists will be prioritized.

For example: Lets say I am studying all lists as usual, and come across a new word in the example sentence that I dont know. I quick add this new word, but the way it is now I wont see this new word for a long time, since it gets thrown into the pool of all the thousands of words in my lists.

However, if my quick add misc list would be prioritized, this new word would pop up directly and would keep pop up until I learn it without me having to stop studying and reselect a new list just to study one word and repeat this procedure every time you add a word which could be pretty tedious. When all words in your priority list are learnt, words from your other lists would start popping up again.

This way you could keep studying all lists while still being able to have some control over which words you want to learn first.

I'm with you! I would I also like to be able to prioritize quick added characters/components/words.

What I do is to move all other lists to review, so they don't add new items, but I still review them. But I agree that this is quite tedious to do every time I quick add a few items.

Maybe .. In the 'advanced' study option you can choose one list to study. Maybe you could study your misc-list first and then after include your other lists. ??
