Forum / community features

Are these on your guys radar? One of the main things I think would be great is thread update notifications. Other than subscribing to the RSS feed, there's no way to see if new stuff has been posted in a thread I've commented on.

There's a million other features I'm sure people would love, but that would be a good place to start I think.

Private Messages would be great too.

How would you like thread update notifications to work--an email every time someone posts to a watched thread, or a daily digest like ChinesePod's, or something else?

We actually had private messages basically done, but we never quite finished them. I don't think it'd be too hard. Anyone else want this?

These aren't very close on the radar, though. We do want to pump up the jam on the community power, but most of it will probably be months away.

Either of those options works for me, I would probably use instant notification, although daily digest might be better depending on the volume.

Anyway, I figured you have more important things, but keep it on the list!

Emails whenever somebody posts to a thread I'm active in or have tagged to watch would be excellent. Private messages would be nice, too.
