Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Star vs. Ban vs. Nothing

Hi, in the app, when you click the blue information button in the upper right hand corner, you can choose to ban or star a character? What happens when you activate them? I've tried to Star a character, I didn't notice any difference.

Eventually the app will have starred word study. But for now, all uses of the star are on the site. You can view, manage, and study them from here:

The option to have starred words appear more frequently in general study would be great. For instance, some more difficult writings I can remember and push out to the week+ review phase, at which point I inevitably forget them and the cycle starts again. Or does the algorithm account for such repeated difficulty?
