I've been trying to work this out properly for a while and haven't so thought I'd ask. I've been through all the forum and help but can't seem to find a proper answer.

I know that an item is classed as learned when it's not due for more than 12 hours but I'm still unclear as to what the status's mean. Looking below I assume that "still learning" means that the item is due within 12 hours but not due yet but I can't work out when something is overdue.

studied 2 min ago: still learning (504%)
studied 4 hr ago: overdue (208%)
studied 5 days ago: due (97%)

My main query is what do the percentages mean and how are they calculated?

If something was due 12 hours later and you're reviewing it at the 12 hour mark, it would be 100% due, where if you were reviewing it 6 hours later (when it's due at 12 hours) it would be 50% due. The goal is to study items when they are at 100%, and if you are seeing them less than 100 you would be "over-studying". If you see an item 24 hours later when it was due at 12 hours, it would be 200% due. It's less ideal to study items when they are past due (100%)

An item is counted as learned if it's graded as correct 12 hours after having seen it for the first time, otherwise it's considered "still learning".

No problem! The 504% is how due it is, so the item was scheduled almost immediately since it's still being learned.
