Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

Ability to import words from other apps (Anki, etc)

It'd be great to be able to import my anki list into Skritter. Hell, I'd even write a parser for you if you were lazy. I assume other third party apps could be supported as well.

You can export the Anki deck as a text file and then paste it into a new Skritter list.

It doesn't carry over your progress info, though, as we tend to store different types of SRS information.

Apropos, the recent version of AnkiDroid is very nice for studying on the subway. I'm finding the limited study mode very useful. If you fire it up after a hiatus and see a million items due it's very discouraging, but if you limit it via tags to let's say the first couple of chapters of a book and see that you have only 20 items due from those chapters, that makes it easier to get motivated. Then when the first couple of chapters are all set you can expand the set of tags/chapters you're reviewing. This makes it much easier psychologically to attack a big review queue.
