Looks like the Great Firewall or something like it is preventing you from completely loading www.skritter.com because it is hosted on Google App Engine, which is periodically blocked. Try instead our mirror:

legacy.skritter.cn

This might also be caused by an internet filter, such as SafeEyes. If you have such a filter installed, try adding appspot.com to the list of allowed domains.

MDBG and Pleco integration. Who pays whom?

I wonder if the Skritter integration with MDBG and Pleco are purely symbiotic or is Skritter paying them or vice versa?

Pleco is definitely a symbiotic relationship. I think it is very exciting the possibilities for further integration with these guys. Both companies have a great customer-orientated ethos, so hopefully that happens.

MDBG I would speculate is similar.

The integration between MDBG and Skritter and also Pleco and Skritter are symbiotic, yeah--no money changing hands there. We do run ads on MDBG, which we pay them for when new users sign up.

Both Dennis at MDBG and Mike at Pleco are great guys to work with!
