I was wondering what Skritter's backup procedures are?

I noticed on your blog post you lost some of your own lists in the recent trouble. But losing months of structured reviews would be more than awful...

With the way our data is stored in Google's datacenters, it's virtually impossible to lose it unless we accidentally delete it (which is what happened with the lists, as an upgrade to jQuery made it such that the list updates weren't saved properly after the old list copy was deleted). We now keep drafts of vocab lifts around for a while instead of deleting them straightaway.

We do download review histories and could recreate most things if we somehow deleted everything, but we should do more to back stuff up, it's true. Will talk to Scott about what we can do here.
